‘‘INDOTECH’’ Frequency Meters are of two types :
(a) VIBRATING REED TYPE :
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION :
The element of these instruments consist of steel reeds which are in the field of an electromagnet. These reeds vibrate in resonance with the energizing A.C. Only the reed whose natural frequency corresponds with the frequency of the A.C. supply will vibrate at full amplitude indicating the correct frequency on the dial.

This basically consits of electronic circuit coupled with moving coil meter. Oscillator circuit gives the signal according to the frequency of supply which is indicated on the dial of the meter.
