CONSTRUCTION :

Phase sequence indicator is housed in 96 x 96 mm. square ABS moulded case with bakelite plate. Three separate leads of Red, Yellow & Blue coloured rubber sheathed clips are provided for each phase. A white disc is mounted between two synthetic saphire jewel bearings for friction free rotation and marked with black arrow.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION :

When the supply is connected to the three terminals marked R,Y& B, the disc will rotate in clockwise direction if all the three phases are connected in correct sequence. If the disc rotates in anti-clockwise direction, reverse one of the phases. This works on 100V to 500 volts A.C. with a frequency of 25 to 60 Hz.

CAUTION :

The instrument is rated for 30 seconds. As such it should not be switched on continuously for more than 30 seconds.

NOTE :

“Indotech” Phase sequence indicators are also available in Panel Mounted models. The Panel cutout required is 92 x 92 mm square.
